Nurturing Self

Investing in Your Best Self!

“Nurturing Self” is a 1 to 3 hours workshop, for 5-15 people, that doesn’t require adding on additional tasks to our already busy schedules. It’s about addressing the need to nurture ourselves; allowing us to show up as our “best self”, and connecting us to the people we love and the things we love to do.

Why It Matters

Nurturing care brings healing. It’s regulation and prevents burnout. It allows you to show up as your best self and it connects you to the people you love.

What is Nurturing Care Really?

“Self-care is not selfish – it’s survival, peace, and personal power.”

Nurturing care, even when time is scarce, is about prioritizing your well-being through intentional actions. It’s about finding small, manageable ways to incorporate activities that nurture your physical, mental and emotional health amidst a busy schedule.

Think of it as building small pockets of self-compassion into your day, rather than waiting for a large block of free time.

It’s also creating work-life balance so that you are energized and prevent burnout. It’s crucial for maintaining resilience in daily life.

Key Benefits of Nurturing Care

  • Improved Mental and Physical Health: Regular nurturing of self lowers the risk of illness, such as heart disease and stroke, while managing stress and enhancing emotional stability.
  • Preventing Burnout: Nurturing self is essential for avoiding compassion fatigue, especially for those in helping professions or caregiving roles, allowing individuals to recharge and maintain productivity.
  • Enhanced Emotional Well-being: It boosts self-compassion, self-confidence, and self-esteem, allowing people to feel more grounded and purposeful.
  • Increased Productivity and Focus: Taking mental breaks and engaging in nurturing-self activities can enhance focus and efficiency, contrary to the belief that resting is unproductive.
  • Better Relationships: When individuals nurture themselves, they have more energy, patience, and emotional availability to support others.
